Core Responsibilities

  • Project management and coordination
  • Client management and engagement
  • Leading the design, procurement, supervision and management of geotechnical ground investigations
  • Managing Phase 2 Ground Investigations
  • Ensure best practise with an efficient and economical workflow for clients
  • Produce detailed factual and interpretive geotechnical ground investigation reports meeting high standards
  • Communicate effectively with project staff and clients to deliver projects
  • Peer review of exploratory hole logs to ensure soil and rock logging compliance with current geotechnical standards
  • Peer review of factual and interpretive reports and other data

Person Specification

  • 15+ years of industry experience within the UK Ground Investigation sector
  • BEng or BSc (or MSc/MEng) in Geology, Earth Science, Geography, Civil Engineering, Environmental Geoscience or related subject is essential
  • MSc or MEng in Geotechnical subject preferred for BEng/BSc holders but not essential
  • Chartership with an industry-recognised organisation
  • A desire to contribute as a key member of the local and national team through excellence in work
  • Full Clean UK Manual driving licence
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to clients of all sizes and project scopes
  • Willingness to learn and use geotechnical software where appropriate
