Overview

As a Principal Infrastructure Engineer you will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing the infrastructure that powers the fast-growing retail brokerage business, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the infrastructure. You will take a lead role in the design of secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure including on-premise, cloud and hybrid, collaborating closely with software engineers, DevOps and SRE teams to align infrastructure with application requirements and define infrastructure standards across a range of teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Nutanix HCI, managing several thousand virtual machines
• Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform
• Design and implement secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments
• Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps and SRE teams to align infrastructure with application requirements
• Define infrastructure standards and best practices across multiple teams

Location / Working Arrangements

Location / WFH: Hybrid model with two days per week from home; when in the office you’ll be based in the City with an upbeat team environment.

About you / Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), combining infrastructure, virtualization and cloud-native skills
• Experience with hypervisors (Hyper-V in Nutanix clusters), VM provisioning, live migration, cloning, snapshots and Disaster Recovery within HCI environments
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across compute, storage and network layers
• Technical leadership and mentoring skills
• Collaborative and pragmatic with strong communication skills, comfortable working with other teams and business stakeholders
