Islington Council’s Capital Works team is offering an exciting opportunity for a self-starting professional to lead on the replacement of life-expired lifts across our housing stock.As Principal Lift Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our lift replacement programme. You’ll be responsible for:Conducting comprehensive stock condition surveys of existing lift installations.Prioritising assets based on condition, repairs data, reliability, and resident impact to inform the replacement programme.Leading the procurement process through the Council’s competitive tendering procedures.Acting as the Client Contract Administrator, ensuring the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality lift installations.Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accountability and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.This is a fantastic opportunity to work client-side in a robust and supportive environment, where your expertise will directly contribute to improving the safety and quality of life for residents.
