OverviewJoin to apply for the Principal Lighting Engineer role at WSP in the UK & Ireland.To meet our growing UK business needs, we are seeking a Lighting Team Leader to join our Lighting and Energy Solutions team. This role is ideally based in our Birmingham or Southampton offices, but we could consider this role based out of any UK office. This role supports our lighting team within the Highway sector.ResponsibilitiesLead projects and teams within the highway lighting domain and be confident in a management capacity.Provide technical knowledge to support the production of bespoke deliverables for projects and guidance documents / initiatives to support the continued development of the wider team.Assist with pricing prospects and delivering projects across a range of clients in major public and private sector organisations.Support the continued development of the Lighting and Energy Solutions team.Experience with highways lighting and familiarity with all stages of project development.Support the production and use of guidance documents and initiatives to support team development.Familiarity with relevant software is desirable (see below).Experience with the following software packages is desirable but not essential: AutoCAD; Lighting Reality; ElectricalOM (or similar electrical design software).What We Will Be Looking For You To DemonstrateAchieved IEng/CEng. EngTech working towards IEng is welcome.Experience in leading lighting and/or electrical design development with people management experience.Asset management; risk awareness (CDM and financial risk) and ability to manage or mitigate accordingly.Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment and plan work effectively.Strong interpersonal, organisational, analytical, technical and communication skills.Familiarity with the relevant British Standards and guidance documents applicable to lighting and electrical works.What We OfferWSP is committed to continuing professional development.
