Our client, an ambitious and fast-growing robotics startup, is looking for a Staff or Principal Mechanical Engineer to help shape the future of cutting-edge industrial mechatronics systems. If you're a hands-on, deeply technical engineer ready to lead in a high-impact environment, this is your chance to build and ship the next of robotic products from the ground up.
What You'll Do:
Lead the design, prototyping, and testing of complex mechatronic systems with multi-axis actuation
Drive product development from concept through production—own the details
Design and spec motors, actuators, sensors, and integrated motion systems
Lead design reviews, validate performance with FEA, and write test plans and documentation
Work closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, agile startup setting
What We're Looking For:
BS in Mechanical, Robotics, or related engineering discipline (MS/PhD a plus)
10+ years of mechanical design experience in robotics or automation
Expertise in:
Actuator and drive systems
Pneumatics/hydraulics
Sensors
Expertise running finite element analysis on mechanical structures including static, dynamic and fatigue modes
Solid skills in SolidWorks, 3D CAD (OnShape ), GD&T (ASME Y14.5), and documentation
Experienced with P&ID, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits design including driving loads, sensing and actuation of manipulators, solenoid valves, regulators etc.
Experience with system dynamics, simulation, and vibration analysis is a big plus
Demonstrated experience both designing electro-mechanical industrial systems from concept design through product release/shipment at scale
Bonus: MATLab or Python experience, industrial tooling design, BOM structuring
