As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in every aspect of mechanical engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic projects at home and abroad. We specialise in mechanical engineering across sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Education, delivering solutions through the project lifecycle and supporting client services and construction phases. We currently have opportunities in our Bristol office.

Your Purpose

  • Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, delivering high-quality results.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
  • Manage time and budgets to meet key project milestones and programmes.
  • Collaborate with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

What you can bring

  • Chartered Mechanical Engineer.
  • Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, blowers, screens, chemical dosing plant) and current UK design standards and practices.
  • Strong understanding of legislation such as CDM and ATEX.

Security Clearance

This role may require security clearance, and offers will depend on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If necessary, it will be discussed at interview.
