Exciting opportunity to join a scaling engineering business as a Principal Mechanical Engineer. This hands-on role leads the design and development of complex mechatronic systems used in defence and security applications worldwide. You will own the full product lifecycle from concept and CAD modelling through verification, testing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex mechatronic systems for defence and security applications
• Own the full product lifecycle from concept to verification and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with electronics and software teams to deliver high-precision engineered products suited to demanding environments
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, set standards, and ensure best practices across multiple projects

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Track record of delivering to tight deadlines and budgets
• Ability to mentor others and influence design standards
