Ganymede Solutions is working in partnership with a leading Rail Company to recruit an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their growing rolling stock consultancy business.

As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering best in class engineering solutions to a variety of clients within the rolling stock sector. This includes services to conventional rail, high speed, light rail and metro clients.

Leading delivery of major projects and supporting project bid work from an engineering technical and commercial perspective You will be responsible for working directly with clients in the rail sector to deliver engineering solutions within fleet maintenance, overhaul/modification, obsolescence, reliability and performance and systems design & build. Work carried out will include a variety of engineering support services and technical consultancy such as technical investigations, design support, feasibility studies, RCA, preparing technical specifications, component/systems design or improvements and maintainability/asset cost improvements.
