Position: Principal Network Engineer

Location: Work from Anywhere

Work Type: Remote

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Operations, including design, standards, and mentoring.
• Implement and manage complex system and network solutions to drive business value.
• Oversee infrastructure, upgrades, capacity, incidents, and change management.
• Ensure system performance, security, and operational integrity.
• Advise on emerging technologies and align systems with business goals.
• Develop documentation, procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and leadership to resolve issues and drive results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years in enterprise system/network design, support, and cloud environments; 5+ years as technical lead or architect.
• Expert in Palo Alto Firewalls/Panorama, Juniper routing/switching, VXLAN/EVPN, OSPF/BGP, VPNs, and network security (ACLs, 802.1x/NAC).
• Proficient in Enterprise Wireless, authentication technologies (LDAP/AD, RADIUS), Windows Server, Linux, scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Perl/Python), and IaC (Ansible, Terraform).
• Experienced in disaster recovery, monitoring, and executing complex technical projects.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and self-motivation; able to work independently or in a team.
