Job title: Principal Process Safety Engineer\n\nLocation: Barrow-in-Furness – we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.\n\nSalary: Competitive\n\nWhat you’ll be doing:\n\nCompleting DSEAR risk assessments and compliance activities\n\nMentoring and developing junior engineers\n\nReviewing and producing explosion safety strategies\n\nPeer reviewing work\n\nRisk Analysis\n\nDeveloping and producing processes and policy documentation for the site\n\nYour skills and experiences:\n\nEssential:\n\nExperience of working in an explosion safety engineering environment and applying various methods of hazard analysis\n\nDSEAR risk assessment production including hazard identification and analysis (preferably from a high hazard industry)\n\nA thorough understanding of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) and Proven track record in implementing business processes to achieve strategic objectives\n\nDesirable:\n\nDegree qualified in a STEM discipline\n\nCOMAH – Control of Major Accident Hazards (Safety Case support) experience\n\nSite Asset Protection experience & Fire Safety Engineering experience\n\nBenefits:\n\nYou’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. You will be working with six people from principals to apprentices, liaising with operational managers, heads of departments as well as the Health & Safety teams.

This role offers exposure to the Wider Control Damage Hazards team whilst individually being given the opportunity for professional growth within the function.
