Location: Coventry (Hybrid - 2-3 days in office) | Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Excellent Benefits

We are expanding into Coventry with a brand-new office and are seeking a Principal Product Safety Engineer to join our growing team. You will work on cutting-edge submarine systems that are critical to national security and contribute to shaping the future of defence capability.

What You’ll Do

  • Work in an Integrated Development Team, ensuring safety is embedded across all engineering stages.
  • Deliver hazard identification and analysis studies.
  • Produce and contribute to safety reports.
  • Ensure projects comply with the Safety Management System.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to drive safety across complex submarine systems.

This role offers exposure to every aspect of safety management, from requirements capture and hazard analysis to safety case delivery and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Understanding of Safety and Systems Engineering and the Engineering Life Cycle.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Flexible and proactive approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in maritime defence safety engineering is ideal, but candidates from other safety-critical industries are welcome.
