OverviewOur client is strengthening its Cambridge office and is hiring a Principal RF Engineer to lead advanced RF and mmWave design programmes. This is a rare opportunity for a Principal RF Engineer to shape technical direction, mentor others, and deliver cutting-edge RF systems into production.ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of RF/mmWave sub-circuits, modules, and systems from specification to deliveryDefine technical requirements, oversee simulations, and ensure designs meet cost, performance, and manufacturability targetsDrive component selection (ICs/MMICs) and manage vendor interactionsProvide senior technical input to PCB and electromechanical integrationConduct system-level analysis including thermal, MTBF, and derating studiesMaintain high-standard documentation including design logs, compliance matrices, and NPI/tollgate deliverablesOwn and lead design reviews, risk assessments, and technical sign-offMentor and support engineers, building technical depth within the teamQualificationsDegree (or equivalent) in RF, Communications, or related engineering disciplineExtensive experience in RF/microwave circuit and system design with a proven track record of delivering verified designs into productionExpert knowledge of design tools such as ADS, Microwave Office, CST, or EMProDeep understanding of transceiver architectures and advanced RF sub-system designProven leadership in documentation, risk management, and technical reviewsExperience mentoring or guiding junior engineers is highly desirableSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesStaffing and Recruiting #J-18808-Ljbffr
