Role : Senior/Principal Safety Engineer Location: Southampton(3 days remote, 2 days onsite) Duration : 6 months Inside IR35 : Umbrella About our Client: Our client is a leading UK-based defence and security company, supporting government and commercial partners through advanced research, technology development, and specialist services. They play a key role in enhancing national security, innovation, and operational capability across critical domains. Key responsibilities: Advice to customer with safety management arrangements for defence land based systems. compliance with Def Stan 00-056, 00-055, 61508, POSMS Chair Hazard workshops Hazard log Identification of derived safety requirements Safety argument for a computer based system, software and data integrity Safety and Environmental Case report Safety and Environmental Management plan (updates) working within our client's team of other SMEs reach back to software safety assurance expertise Agile lifecycle -experience of collaborative working in multi discipline teams Experience required : Need to be self-starter work on own initiative confident interacting with customers. Ability to lead workshops and safety discussions....
