Responsibilities

  • Driving the successful technical delivery of high-quality projects from concept to completion
  • Taking ownership of project outcomes, ensuring they meet commercial goals through proactive project control
  • Playing a key role in securing new opportunities and nurturing strong, lasting client relationships
  • Inspiring other team members to perform at their best, fostering a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused team culture
  • Championing Pick Everard’s reputation across the construction industry, helping to raise our profile and influence
  • Promoting seamless collaboration across disciplines, teams, and with clients to ensure unified project success

About You / Requirements

  • Exceptional Structural Engineering knowledge with a deep understanding of key principles embedded in theory and practice, with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent verbal communication and the ability to communicate ideas and effectively work with both clients and members of the design team
  • Experience relevant to UK practice and knowledge of UK design standards, codes of practice and methods of construction
  • Familiarity with structural engineering modelling, analysis, and design software (Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds and STAAD Pro, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360)
  • The ability and willingness to supervise/mentor employees
  • Desirable: Chartered membership of ICE or IStructE
  • Desirable: motivation to undertake relevant CPD and to increase skills and knowledge
  • Desirable: experience in day-to-day control of resourcing, programming, planning and costs
  • Desirable: effective team management skills
  • Desirable: excellent report writing and presentation skills
