The team undertakes a wide variety of projects for the private and public sector, across a range of development sectors. We seek to provide integrated solutions incorporating state of the art design.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design and management of structural engineering works associated with a wide variety of major and challenging infrastructure projects for the private and public sector.Strengthen design and delivery capacity with an applicant experienced in a broad range of projects.Experience in the design process throughout all stages from concept to delivery is essential, as well as managing small teams to achieve client requirements.Experience in the management of other design disciplines will be helpful though not essential.Take individual responsibility for a range of project types, manage them independently, and act as the client’s main point of contact.Lead projects that may include development of significant estate portfolios or smaller individual projects.Work on a mix of new-build and refurbishment projects across sectors including healthcare, education, defence & security, commercial, science & technology, and others.Lead independently and proactively on technical aspects including preparing designs, specifications, technical approval submissions, and site supervision; be fully conversant with industry design standards.Collaborate with senior management on research projects and innovative initiatives where applicable.About YouBe a chartered civil or structural engineer (CEng and either MICE or MIStructE).Have good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently, a collaborative approach and a proven ability to deliver work on time.Be confident working directly with clients, other design professionals, and contractors.Have strong experience and a sound knowledge and understanding of structural engineering projects through proven experience; able to produce drawings, specifications, calculations and technical reports.Have technical knowledge including use of industry-standard software (ideally Tekla/Robot) and basic ability with Revit.Have experience of commercial management of projects and change control.Be committed to encouraging good health and safety practices within the workplace and within design.Display enthusiasm, flexibility, and versatility as a team player.Be able to mentor, enthuse and support team members.Have a desire to build upon your existing experience and continue your professional development with Tetra Tech.Hold a full UK Driving Licence.Have the ability to obtain UK security clearance.About Tetra TechTetra Tech is a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide.
