Principal Structural Engineer – Leeds - Salary: Competitive, based on experience (£55K-68K but negotiable)

As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will
* Play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across various sectors.
* managing projects independently to leading and mentoring junior engineers and technicians,
* Have the chance to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the analysis and design of building structures using advanced software for all structural materials.
* Manage and co-ordinate projects, attending meetings with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders.
* Oversee the delivery of structures, drainage, and highways elements of projects within a multidisciplinary team.
* Develop and manage design delivery programmes.
* Supervise CAD/Revit technicians, ensuring designs meet project requirements.
* Prepare correspondence, reports, and technical documentation.
* Conduct site visits and attend site meetings to ensure successful project delivery.
* Support internal and external design meetings with clients and design team members.
What the successful Principal Structural engineer needs;
Qualifications:
* Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
* Chartered or Incorporated status with IStructE or ICE (or working towards it).
Experience & Skills:
* Proven ability to deliver projects through to completion.
* Strong experience in structural design and analysis using software such as TEDDS, Tekla Structural designer, Fastrack Portal Frame, CADS Wall Panel, P Frame, and MasterSeries Retaining Wall.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, clients, and external teams.
* Knowledge of relevant building regulations and design standards.
* Valid UK driving licence.
