Job Details

• This is a hybrid role with flexibility for remote work where possible and on-site presence as required, with occasional UK and international travel.
• Primary location can be Greenford or Weymouth; remote working may be considered for some roles.
• There will be a two-stage interview process: first with the Head of Systems Engineering, then with the Chief Engineer and Project Manager/Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

• The role reports into the Project Engineering Lead (and functional Line Manager) and works closely with the Systems Design Authority within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Work across Technology Readiness Levels, building upon an existing product (including obsolescence management); support developers, design reviews and customer meetings.
• Contribute to design, development, integration, verification, validation, and qualification activities across the full development lifecycle.
• Perform trade-off analysis to support decisions and balance performance, cost and schedule.

Qualifications

• Systems design experience with an understanding of Electronics, Mechanical and Software.
• Experience across the development lifecycle (design through integration, verification, validation and qualification).
• Expertise in trade-off analysis.
• Eligibility for UK Security Check (SC) with no caveats.

Location & Working Pattern

Interview Process

Two-stage interview process: a video call with the Head of Systems Engineering to assess functional suitability and strategic fit, followed by an interview with the Chief Engineer and Project Manager/Engineering Manager focusing on project-specific suitability and team fit.
