Position: Principal/Associate EICA Engineer\n\nLocation: Peterborough (Hybrid Working Available)\n\nSector: Water, Utilities & Power Infrastructure\n\nSalary: Up to £76k (Flexible)\n\nThe Role\n\nThis is a great opportunity to step into a technical leadership while remaining hands-on with exciting, large-scale infrastructure projects. I am working with an industry leader withing Civil engineering. They're seeking a Principal/Associate EICA Electrical Engineer to join a forward-thinking EICA team, helping shape sustainable, resilient solutions across the water and utilities sector.\n\nAs a Principal/Associate EICA Engineer, you'll lead on the design and delivery of major electrical infrastructure schemes, working closely with public authorities and industry partners.

Your expertise will cover:\n\nHV and LV electrical design across water, power and energy projects.\n\nElectrical layouts for substations (AIS/GIS up to 400kV), cable routes, switchrooms, control rooms and site earthing.\n\nDetailed design and specification of industrial electrical installations, including lighting, power distribution, switchgear, control systems and ancillary services.\n\nSupporting and mentoring junior engineers, while being a client-facing technical lead.\n\nThis role offers a clear pathway to senior management, with the chance to influence strategy while continuing to deliver innovative engineering solutions.\n\nAbout You\n\nChartered or Incorporated Engineer (IET), or working towards chartership.\n\nDegree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.\n\nProven experience with consultancies, utilities or contractors in primary electrical design.\n\nStrong understanding of BS7671:2018, ENATS, NGTS, BS50522, BS7430 and G81 standards.\n\nProficiency with design tools such as Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, Dialight and Revit.\n\nExcellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills.\n\nFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays.\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nHybrid working with flexibility.\n\nEnhanced pension and tax-efficient benefits.\n\nCompany profit share.\n\nClear progression into senior management within a supportive, collaborative team.\n\nIf you're interested and would like more information then get in touch with Danny Brookes at Calibre Search\n\nCalibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, , /beliefs, or .
