Nixor have partnered with a scaling software development business who are seeking an experienced Principal AI/ML Engineer to join its international team, contributing to a state of the art AI-driven Sales Planning product. This is a senior, hands-on role focused on classical machine learning, production-grade infrastructure, and technical leadership.


The Role:

The Principal AI/ML Engineer will lead the design and development of scalable AI/ML solutions, driving predictive insights and automation within enterprise sales. They will play a key role in building and optimizing ML pipelines, backend systems, and infrastructure, while working closely with cross-functional teams around the globe.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, build, and maintain AI-powered products with a focus on classical ML techniques.
  • Develop and optimize ML pipelines, APIs, and backend systems.
  • Apply clustering, classification, and regression algorithms (e.g. DBSCAN, k-means, XGBoost, random forests).
  • Enhance infrastructure for automation, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with international teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Required Skills & Experience:

    • Substantial experience in AI/ML product development.
    • Strong background in Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and cloud ML services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
    • Proven ability to build, tune, and deploy ML models into production.
    • Experience developing and maintaining high-performance APIs and backend services.
    • Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow, Jenkins, and Harness.
    • Familiarity with Redis and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Excellent software architecture and code review skills.
    • Experience with GitHub, MSFT Copilot, and collaborative, agile teams.
    • Comfortable adopting new technologies and stepping outside comfort zones.
