Process Assurance Engineer - Software Quality role at MBDA. Bristol/Stevenage. Hybrid working: 2-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification.
Salary: Circa £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
Location: Bristol/ Stevenage (relocation package may be available)
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. After offer, all successful candidates will undergo BPSS checks managed by MBDA Personnel Security Team.
The opportunity
An opportunity within our Bristol based Software Quality Assurance team to develop process-centric quality assurance skills by being part of the wider Quality Assurance community within MBDA. Working on diverse missile programmes, supporting project activities alongside the UK Engineering Directorate's software development teams to help ensure MBDA’s hi-tech weapon systems are developed to the required level of quality and delivered to trusted partners around the world.

What we're looking for
The role focuses on software quality assurance through adherence to process and standards. Ideally, you will have experience in software development, full life cycle and quality assurance within a process-based design and development environment, but we will consider a diverse range of backgrounds.
- Knowledge of software processes including national and international standards and assurance requirements
- Auditing experience would be advantageous
- Ability to build strong relationships across programmes
- Collaborative but objective approach with ability to influence change
- Ability to lead Project Quality Assessments, identify risks and provide input to monthly reports
- Clear communication skills, both oral and written
- Remain calm under pressure and adapt to changes
- Ability to work independently within a team
- Engineering degree or equivalent with understanding of new technologies
- Experience or knowledge of configuration management, documentation and requirements management systems is beneficial
