Process Engineer- Medical Device Coatings

Annual Compensation Range: $80,000-$100,000Biocoat is committed to providing the best in developing, manufacturing, and applying coatings on medical devices. We are looking for a Process Engineer who is willing to support the company, including developing, configuring, and optimizing the medical coating manufacturing processes.What will I be doing as a Process Engineer I?Troubleshoot equipment issuesBuild process improvements and/or scale up of the coatings line and reactor systemsDevelop new process technologies to improve productivity, product quality, and support new product developmentAssist with dip coater equipment to resolve problems, troubleshooting, and fixturesSpecify and source equipment, documenting new equipment through qualification/validation activitiesDesign transfer from development to productionInterface with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs and follow all applicable regulatory and quality requirementsPrepare SOPs or reportsInterface with customers, suppliers, auditors, and agenciesAssist in the management of equipment calibration and preventive maintenanceDesign and fabricate custom components, fixtures, and prototypesDo I qualify?Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Medical Device Engineering2+ years chemical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering experienceExperience with chemical process equipmentExcellent eye for detailAbility to operate in a clean room and laboratory environmentProven experience in abiding by safety requirements and ability to operate and enforce all safety guidelinesPlan and schedule work duties; initiative-takerAbility to interact with outside personnelGood written documentation and verbal skillsStrong technical writing skillsAbility and desire to work in a small company environmentExperience with automation and process controls is a plusBackground in the medical device industry is a plusWhat Biocoat Offers:Competitive salary, eligible for a discretionary bonusBenefits (medical with HSA component, dental, vision, critical illness, and accident insurance)Life insurance, short- and long-term paid by the companyFlexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)401(k) plan with an immediate company matchPaid time offEducation Assistance ProgramRewards and Recognition ProgramParental LeaveEmployee Assistance ProgramAdditional benefits such as the opportunity to leave early on Fridays, business casual dress, friendly work environment, and fun company events.Biocoat is an equal opportunity employer.
