Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £40,000-£50,000 per annum | Dependant on Experience
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00–16:00 | Flexible hours available

The Duties:
Develop, support, and optimise manufacturing processes to reduce variation, rework, and reject rates
Implement in-process measures and controls to improve consistency
Conduct root cause analysis on manufacturing issues
Identify and prioritise cost-saving opportunities
Propose, risk-assess, implement, and validate changes to existing processes
Support the introduction of new equipment and technologies
The Requirements:
Degree in an Engineering-related discipline or equivalent hands-on experience
Strong understanding of manufacturing process development, control, and change management
Skilled in structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, and data reporting
Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, or continuous improvement methodologies
Familiarity with materials and precision techniques such as adhesives, laser processing, machining, and functional testing
Knowledge of metrology systems (optical, tactile, vision), CAD tools, and automated assembly or programming
