Talent Guardian is working with a premium design-led manufacturer near to Stevenage to recruit a Product Design Engineer with a passion for combining creativity, engineering expertise, and commercial awareness.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll take concepts from brief through to fully developed designs, applying both innovative thinking and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes. Working closely with UK and overseas teams, you’ll develop stylish, functional, and high-quality products that stand out in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver product design and engineering solutions from initial brief through concept and detail design stages. Generate innovative, consumer-focused design and mechanical solutions to engineering challenges. Collaborate with industrial designers to integrate creative vision with functional requirements. Identify appropriate manufacturing processes and materials during concept development. Apply DFA and DFM principles to ensure efficient, high-quality production. Liaise with overseas engineering teams to maintain aesthetic and functional intent during detail design. Manage critical paths to ensure on-time delivery of the product development pipeline.
