haboo is building a fairer financial ecosystem to help people manage debt and find a path to financial freedom. We are a small, mission‑driven FinTechForGood startup backed by investors, seeking a thoughtful, curious, and product‑minded engineer to join our foundational team.

Location: London (Hybrid).

What you'll do

• Build features end‑to‑end: own the lifecycle of new features from idea and design through back‑end logic and shipping on mobile apps.
• Solve interesting technical challenges: scale serverless AWS back end and deliver slick, responsive experiences in native mobile apps.
• Partner directly with the leadership team: work with founders and Head of Engineering to understand user needs and translate complex problems into simple solutions.
• Scale our foundations for the future: evolve our MVP, make architectural decisions for reliability and growth, and uphold engineering standards.
• Shape our engineering culture: help establish technical standards, processes, and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications / What we’re looking for

• You're a curious problem‑solver with a drive to learn and improve.
• You're excited by our mission to build a fairer financial world.
• You're a full‑stack thinker with experience spanning backend (APIs, cloud services) and frontend (ideally mobile).
• You're a polyglot at heart with experience in statically‑typed (Swift, Kotlin, Java) and dynamically‑typed (JavaScript, Python) languages.
• You're product‑minded with strong user empathy and a drive to improve user experiences through technology.
• You're a compassionate collaborator who enjoys teamwork, feedback, and shared goals.
