Product Engineer

A growing manufacturing client of ours is currently in the market to join the business as a Product Engineer. As a Product Engineer, you are responsible for providing manufacturing documentation and engineering support to ensure the day-to-day manufacturing build requirements are met. They provide the interface between customer requirements (Parts Lists & Drawings) and my client and are required to convert this information into documents and formats that can be understood and used by those departments.
The right candidate will meet the following requirements:
Experience of electronic assembly is essential (SMT, PCB, electro-mechanical assembly, wiring etc) Understanding technical drawings and electronic component descriptions is essential. Experience of using Microsoft Word to create production documents is desirable. Previous experience in an Engineering/Technician role is desirable. Experience of mechanical assembly is an advantage. Understanding MRP Stock Control Software is advantageous. Experience of Continuous Improvement is a benefit. Possession of recognized engineering qualifications (A Level, BTEC or higher) is a benefit. A trade test may be required to confirm possession of the required skills.
Day-to-day duties include:
