Key Responsibilities Undertake Product Safety functional analysis , including Hazard Identification (HAZID) and Hazard Analysis (HAZAN), in support of submarine design Produce high-quality Product Safety functional justification reports and formal safety assessments Provide specialist safety advice to systems engineers across submarine programmes Liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance Offer technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers within the safety team Support the development and delivery of safety cases in line with programme schedules Maintain high standards of safety, health, and environment (SHE) in all activities Knowledge, Skills & Experience Knowledge: Strong understanding of Functional Safety , particularly of complex, software-centric systems Familiarity with HAZID
