Job description

Emsys Continual Emissions Measurement Product Support

Permanent – must be commutable distance to Altrincham, Greater Manchester. UK

Salary – Up to £55K Plus benefits

Start : Immediate

Location : Altrincham, Greater Manchester, UK.

The Role

To improve customer feedback and customer satisfaction, we are looking for a Product Support Engineer to help support the Service, Project, Operations and Sales teams by ensuring both external and internal customers are satisfied. The candidate will have the skills, knowledge and experience to work on their own initiative and help drive successful performance of the business with a focus on improving customer expectations and with it overall satisfaction with the Emsys Product. This includes but is not limited to,

1. Training of service engineers to the appropriate level.
2. Support service engineers on technical issues both in-field and from the office.
3. Provide a technical resource to Projects, Operations and Service management.
4. The role will also include occasional working on board ships and in shipyards to provide extra support.
5. From time to time the role may involve commercial, technical and other reasonable activities.
6. Remote support will be a key element of this role, providing support to our technicians and customers vessels, sometimes outside of normal working hours and at weekends for SLA customers
7. Service Manager absence cover
8. Assist with Product Development
9. Assist with the development of QHSE and ISO policies, practices and implementation.

Required Skills

• Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in an electrical/electronic /instrumentation/marine or associated Engineering discipline
• A desirable would be an understanding of the requirements of marine or industrial emissions measurement; the installation works in the offshore and ocean-going marine sectors.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar position
• Preparation of installation drawings, schematics, manuals and work instructions
• Good communicator, team player
• CAD experience is preferrable
• Competent with MS Office / MS Project and other industry standard software packages
• Able to provide excellent references
• Fluent English language, UK Passport and right to work in the UK essential

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday 08:00 -16:30 Friday 08:00 - 14:30
• A partial working from home policy will be introduced, subject to personal and business needs.
