PRODUCTION DESIGN ENGINEER HEAVY ENGINEERING SHEFFIELD COMPETITIVE SALARY

Progress Rail is looking to recruit a talented Production Design Engineer to support the manufacturing of our Cast Manganese Products. In this role, youll be responsible for creating detailed casting drawings, work sketches, routing instructions, and Bills of Material (BOMs) to ensure efficient and accurate production. Youll play a key part in enabling the Track Products team to deliver high-quality components through precise and production-ready designs.

THE ROLE: As a Production Design Engineer you will be required to: Process jobs in a timely and accurate manner to maximise production throughput and efficiency Improve existing products, processes and design tools and raise with line manager Compare alternative solutions of the product or process with line manager Produce designs for pattern production working with Pattern, Methoding and Machining teams to ensure compliance with best practice Ensure a senior Engineer is consulted and informed regarding all emer...
