About The Role Engineered to Protect, that’s our promise, we protect what matters - our nations, our waters, our land, our cities, our people, our environment, our world. As Production Engineer you are to ensure that SEA’s production processes are effective and predictable through the deployment of appropriate processes, controls, and equipment. Providing input into PV projects to drive DFM best practice. Production Engineer will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role allows for flexible working. The salary for this role is up to £38k, depending on experience.
What you’ll be doing
Calibration of tooling Generating and maintaining standard operating instructions Production line layouts and balancing Material handling, storage and continuous flow/pull Time studies in manufacturing Optimise and challenge the design with respect to DFM for new products Review and implement process improvements to reduce production costs Developing and supporting visual controls on the shop floor Lead on the implementation of Engineering Changes on the shop floor Be first triage of ‘quality’ problems encountered in manufacturing Assist in the evaluation of returned materials and products Attend daily GEMBA meetings as appropriate Design fixtures and tooling for assembly tasks Assist with PFMEA and implement improvementsAbout our company At SEA, we develop and deliver advanced solutio...
