Salary: Up to £38,500 dependent on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
* Resolving T45 and production queries promptly, within safety and design intent. Conducting engineering investigations and provide technical and maintenance support to Ops, COMs, and Project Management
* Reviewing T45 project plans with ship's staff, COM, and Ops to ensure sufficient engineering content, acceptance levels, and integration of safety and quality considerations in the Project HazID and Quality Scope
* Updating PDFs and technical drawings to keep them current and relevant. Making engineering decisions within delegated authority and design intent
* Identifying training needs, skills gaps, and development opportunities within your discipline
* Supporting the application of MOD safety and environmental systems, BAE Systems Engineering Governance, Product Safety, and associated frameworks
* Assisting T45 production and delivery teams in understanding and meeting technical requirements and standards
* Contributing to the development, maintenance, and improvement of engineering processes and procedures in response to technical and operational changes
* Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge, develop skills, share best practice, and provide technical support and expertise to others
Your skills and experiences:
* Understanding of a Maritime Marine environment but other industries would be considered
* Understanding and experience of CAD/Technical drawings
* Some experience of repair, maintenance and integration of ships systems and equipment
* Ability to provide technical support and troubleshooting responses in assigned areas to operational units or other activities
* Able to perform robust analysis using recognised drafting and analytical tools and to make sound judgements based on experience

The Project Engineer Drafting team:
Working within a supportive team of 4-5 professionals that form part of a wider Project Engineering Management team of 50+ engineers. Problem solving across different classes of Warship, the role requires liaising with stakeholders, suppliers and the MOD with the opportunity to develop and enhance your knowledge and skills.
