Overview

Project Engineer – District Heating / Energy Infrastructure – Remote/Midlands. I’m working with a fast-growing renewable energy developer delivering city-scale low-carbon heat networks valued at over £750M. The company is rapidly expanding, building a strong reputation in sustainable energy infrastructure, and creating exciting opportunities for talented engineers. Their projects focus on delivering innovative, low-carbon solutions that make a real difference to communities and cities. As part of their growth, they’re looking to bring in a skilled Project Engineer to support one of their major city schemes, working closely with the Project Director.

This is a fantastic chance to join a highly skilled technical delivery team and contribute to long-term, high-value projects from early-stage design through to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Directors in the planning, coordination, and delivery of district heating schemes
  • Manage technical aspects of district heating network design, pre-construction planning, and contracts
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and customers to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Contribute to projects from early-stage concept and design through to financial close and investment
  • Assist in the development and coordination of energy centres, network designs, and customer engagement
  • Remote/Midlands-based role with regular site visits and salary up to £60K (DOE)

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong technical skillset with experience in district heating, network design, and pre-construction project delivery.
  • Experience in stakeholder management is highly valuable, as the role involves working closely with multiple project stakeholders to align on design, compliance, and operational objectives.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working within a small, dedicated team and supporting large-scale, long-term projects.
