What You'll Be Doing

As a Project Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Resolving Queries: Quickly address T45 and production queries, ensuring safety and design intent are met.
• Project Review: Collaborate with ships staff, COM, and Ops to ensure engineering content and safety standards are integrated into project plans.
• Technical Support: Respond to electrical and technical queries, making informed engineering decisions within your authority.
• Identifying Development Needs: Spot training needs and skills gaps within your discipline.
• Safety Compliance: Support the application of MOD safety and environmental systems, along with BAE Systems Engineering Governance.
• Team Assistance: Help T45 production and delivery teams meet technical requirements and standards.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of engineering processes in response to changes.
• Knowledge Sharing: Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and provide expertise to your colleagues.

Your Skills and Experiences

We’re looking for candidates who have:

• A solid understanding of the Maritime Marine environment (experience from other industries is also welcome).
• Experience with electrical systems and technical drawings.
• Some background in the repair, maintenance, and integration of ship systems and equipment.
• The ability to provide technical support and troubleshoot effectively.
• Strong research skills to support decision-making based on relevant standards.

About the Project Engineering Electrical Team

You’ll be part of a supportive team of 4-5 professionals within a larger Project Engineering Management team of over 50 engineers. This role offers the chance to solve problems across various classes of Warship while collaborating with stakeholders, suppliers, and the MOD.
