Our client, a global Aerospace systems manufacturer, is seeking a Project Engineer (Electro-Mechanical) to join their dynamic engineering team based in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the design, development, and delivery of innovative electrical and mechanical products that support cutting-edge aerospace applications.You'll be responsible for leading new product development projects — from concept through to delivery — ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll bring together technical design expertise, project management capability, and a passion for problem-solving in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support engineering development projects in line with company strategy and customer requirements.Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) activities using structured engineering processes.Define project objectives, create detailed project plans, and manage work packages to deliver key milestones.Produce and maintain technical documentation, project dashboards, and progress reports.Design and develop mechanical and electrical components using CATIA or similar CAD tools.Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and implement corrective actions.Apply “design for manufacture,” “design to cost,” and “design for inspection” principles.Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical challenges.Support R&D initiatives and contribute to new product concepts and technology roadmaps.Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, and environmental standards.Occasional travel to customer and supplier sites in the UK and overseas.About YouDegree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in project or design engineering within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical design principles.Skilled in CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent).Experienced in project progress reporting, RFQs, and technical documentation.Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and interconnect products (advantageous).Flexible to occasionally travel within the UK and internationally.What's on OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work with a globally recognised engineering brand.Structured career development and professional training.Collaborative and innovative working environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
