Project Engineer Limavady, Northern Ireland (occasional UK travel) £33,000 - £37,000 Full-time | Monday - Friday | Hybrid working after probation The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Limavady. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with 2-3 years' experience who enjoys taking ownership of projects from start to finish. Working on bespoke equipment and control systems within the water and energy sectors, you'll be involved in every stage - from planning and resourcing right through to commissioning and client handover. Occasional travel across the UK will also form part of this varied and rewarding position. Key Responsibilities Develop project plans and budgets, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within cost. Source suppliers and purchase equipment in line with engineering specifications. Manage and distribute technical drawings and documentation to subcontractors. Visit subcontractor sites to oversee production, carry out quality checks, and resolve issues. Lead FAT tests, site preparation and commissioning activities, including all health & safety documentation. Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates, solutions, and progress reports. Support contract management, including compensation events and quotations. Provide financial reporting on costs, invoicing, and project budgets. Ensure health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are upheld across all activities. About You Essential Degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline (mechanical or similar). 2-3 years' experience in a project engineering role. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project. Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a car. Willingness to travel occasionally across the UK, including overnight stays. Desirable Experience within the water or wastewater industry. Familiarity with NEC contracts. Experience in a fabrication/manufacturing environment.
