Role Summary:
* To carry out all operations in accordance with Health & Safety policy and customer site specific health & safety requirements.
* To carry out installation & refurbishments works on transformers throughout the UK.
* To ensure production of finished goods meet design specifications and related regulatory standards.
* Complete all operations in line with the company’s Quality Standard BS EN ISO (Apply online only) and Environmental Standard BS EN ISO (phone number removed) accreditations.
* Ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Main tasks:
Project Delivery & Execution:
* Deliver transformer service projects, including maintenance, repair, installation, refurbishment and commissioning.
* Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
* Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Monitor project progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
* Complete projects from enquiry stage all the way through to delivery and completion, including tendering & sales functions.
* Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments including design, purchasing and management.
* Create and implement standard operating procedures for Transformer Services operations.
* Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by your direct Line
* Manager or the Management Team.Lead internal improvement projects to improve efficiency.
* Ensure projects comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
Technical & Operational Responsibilities:
* Oversee field service teams performing transformer inspections, testing, oil analysis, and refurbishments.
* Ensure proper handling and transportation of transformers and related equipment.
* Review technical reports and provide recommendations based on test results.
* Support troubleshooting of transformer failures and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications/Skills:
* GCSEs High school or equivalent.
* Electrical / Mechanical Apprenticeship – as a minimum requirement.
* HNC in Electrical / mechanical Engineering – .
* Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in transformer services, power systems, and electrical utility projects.
Technical Knowledge:
* Understanding of Grid, power transformers.
* Practical & theoretical knowledge of the installation, refurbishment & retro-fit of Transformer parts.
* Experience with electrical schematics & mechanical drawings
