RK&K is currently hiring a motivated and quality-minded Water Resources Engineer to work in our King of Prussia, Philadelphia, Allentown or Harrisburg, PA offices. The Engineer should have strong experience with some or all the following areas to support municipal and transportation project designs: Stormwater Management, Erosion and Sediment Control, Hydrology & Hydraulics Design and Floodplain/Scour Modeling, for various exciting projects throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.Essential FunctionLead tasks, plan budgets, manage subcontractors and mentor design staffDevelop, evaluate, design stormwater management facilities to support transportation infrastructure projects for PennDOT and across RK&K's vast portfolio.Design stormwater control BMPs and produce engineering drawings with SCMs for highway reconstruction, bridge replacement and other transportation projects.Floodplain analysis for bridge design projects using HEC-RAS.Prepare Erosion and Sediment Control calculations, details, designs and plans with knowledge of Pennsylvania E&S Manual.Assist highway, bridge and traffic teams with the preparation of bid documents on projects for PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and other state and local transportation agencies.Develop civil engineering plans using Bentley Connect, Open Roads Designer while applying knowledge of local, state, and federal design standardsProvide office and site visit support for projects in constructionDetail project analysis and prepare permit applications for oversight agencies to address the full range of environmental issues and conditions associated with water resources projectsProvide excellent client services with a focus on quality and timeliness of deliverablesCollaborate directly with other design team members including project manager, project engineers, design technicians, drafters, surveyors, contractors, inspectors, public agency officials, and clientsRequired Skills and ExperienceB.S. in Civil / Environmental Engineering or similar field with eight (8) to fifteen (15) years ofexperienceE.I.T. registration minimum requirementBentley and/or AutoCAD experience are required.Candidates will work in a diverse and challenging environment and must be capable of working on and coordinating simultaneous tasks and have ability to coordinate technical matters with public and private entitiesPreferred Skills and ExperienceRegistered P.E.
