NEOS Recruitment are working exclusively with a leading M&E & HVAC contractor delivering a major high-profile project in Newcastle. We’re seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) to take a key role in overseeing, coordinating, and delivering building services that allow the development to function exactly as designed.

The Role

As a Building Services Project Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the full life cycle of the mechanical or electrical systems – from design through to installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance planning.

Your responsibilities will include:

Negotiating and developing project contracts and managing tenders Commissioning, organising, and assessing contractor work Producing and interpreting detailed diagrams, plans, and CAD drawings Utilising BIM for coordinated system delivery on complex projects Managing budgets and ensuring energy-efficient systems are implemented Designing site-specific equipment as required Overseeing installation, specifying maintenance and operating procedures Monitoring and optimising building systems performance Making decisions on replacement and upgrades to expired equipment Liaising with structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and in-house teams Attending technical and project group meetings Ensuring legislative, health & safety,...
