Leicester

£60,000 per annum + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Monday to Friday Days.

The Role:

As Project Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering technical projects end-to-end, from design to installation and ensuring the continuous improvement and reliability of a 24/7 high-volume production environment.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused position, ideal for an experienced engineer with a proactive mindset and strong organisational skills. You'll collaborate across functions and lead contractor activities while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver engineering projects across all lifecycle stages.
  • Create CAD site and process drawings to support installations.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with structured delivery and strong contractor oversight.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and minimal disruption.
  • Prepare comprehensive project packs including machine manuals and handover documentation.
  • Ensure rigorous H&S compliance, including permits to work, risk assessments, and method statements.


What We're Looking For:

  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering (Beneficial).
  • Proven experience managing multiple technical projects in a fast-paced environment (Beneficial).
  • Strong AutoCAD skills and confident in using MS Office (MS Project a plus).
  • Excellent communication and contractor management skills.
  • Ability to work hands-on within a collaborative team environment.
  • Open to all backgrounds but FMCG is advantageous.
  • Exposure to CI methodologies and Project Management qualifications.
  • Experience setting up asset care and maintenance documentation.
