Floorings Systems also provides ready-made adhesives for floor covering installations, parquet flooring, and ceramic tiles, leveling compounds for the construction industry as well as liquid floors under the trade name Eurocol.Location: Ripley, DerbyshireThe Ripley site produces a range of flocked floor coverings in sheet, tile and plank formats. With a manufacturing footprint of 12,000 sqm and a 9,000 sqm warehouse, Ripley’s manufacturing processes include polyamide yarn cutting, dyeing, drying, electrostatic flocking, rotary and digital printing, backing application and final cutting/conversion. The Ripley site has ISO14001, ISO9001, ISO45001 and ISO 50001 (the first manufacturing site in the UK to achieve this) quality accreditations.The RoleWe’re seeking a Project Engineer to join our current team of two, to take the lead on all phases of project management for our Flotex product at the Ripley site. In this pivotal role, you\'ll drive projects from initial concept through to successful Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and aligned with business objectives.This full-time role (40 hours/week) is central to delivering high-impact projects that drive operational excellence. You will support capital investment plans, specify technical requirements for new equipment, and align with our long-term asset management life-cycle strategies and systems.Key Responsibilities For The Position IncludeManaging projects through 5 phases:Initiation - Interact with Engineering management to interpret requirements for the relevant strategy, provide a technical overview & guidance, complete project Cost Time Resource (CTR) and feasibility studyPlanning - Work with the relevant departments to complete basic design concept and understand user requirements, communicate with a multitude of equipment OEMs (Both National & International), provide a clear and concise case for capital investment with project documentation completed & submitted for approval.Execution - Being the principal point of contact throughout the tendering process, co-ordinate installation preparation with relevant departments & external contractors, services & utility requirements to be completed (where possible) prior to equipment installation with plans & timelines to be agreed with relevant parties to ensure continuity throughout the install process.Monitoring and controlling. Regular update meetings held to monitor progress with key suppliers & stakeholders. FAT & SAT testing procedures followed to ensure compliance to all specifications.Closure - Snagging list to be monitored and resolutions checked and signed off accordingly.Contractor management and network buildingParts and servicing requiring using internal systems and ensuring the site has critical parts and service contracts set up following a project installWeekly updates and monthly reportsThe Successful Candidate MustBe Mechanical or Electrical specialist with a hands-on skilled background in either discipline.Time served engineer with experience in a production facility environment (apprenticeship minimum) having achieved mechanical/electrical engineering focused qualification.Have project management ability, with a proven track record of delivering projects through structured phasesBe competent in managing priorities, timelines, and budgets independently.Have a continuous improvement mindset, actively seeking ways to optimise and innovate, be proactiveHave clear communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective cross-functional collaborationHave excellent People and resource management, including the ability to influence and coordinate teamsHave Digital proficiency, with experience using MS Office, CMMS, AutoCAD, and project management softwareSalary: £46,400Bonus target: £2,800Fully site basedStakeholder Pension Scheme, with death in service benefit34 days holiday [including bank holidays]Cash plan SchemeOccupational Health provisionEmployee Assistance ProgrammeFree on site parking facilitiesTo apply, please forward on a cover letter explaining how you meet the above requirement along with a current CV detailing your current & expected salary/benefits package to Sarah McMasters, HR Business Partner (Ripley site)sarah.mcmasters@forbo.com #J-18808-Ljbffr
