Project Engineer\n\nUndertake technical/engineering tasks within a light rail engineering environment (including the following disciplines : traction power, depot upgrades, SC&C and asset management). Progress scheme design and construction, which may include (but are not limited to); scheme investigation, site inspections, data collection and analysis, design, works/construction inspection and supervision.\nProject manage and deliver to the agreed standards of time, quality, cost and safety, various projects that form part of the £100m Mass Transit renewal programme.Key projects /work streams \n Mass Transit (£100m Renewal of Sheffield Supertram) \n Use knowledge and experience in the design and construction of relevant engineering projects to\n\nManage multi-disciplinary Project Teams including internal team members, external partners, stakeholders, transport operators, professional advisors, and contractors.\nExercise independent engineering judgement and provide innovative solutions to engineering problems\nManage projects successfully including monitoring progress, problem solving and making timely decisions to ensure projects remain on budget and programme.\nProduce, communicate, manage and update project information through all project stages including but not exclusively; schedules, reports, risk plans, change and cost measures, monthly reporting, final accounts and forecasting.\nBe responsible for the successful financial management of projects including fees, construction, contingencies and direct costs and ensure that costs are forecast accurately and timely.\nEnsure that all project work is carried out in compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations (with appropriate specialist advice where necessary).\nUndertake technical/engineering tasks within a light rail engineering environment (including the following disciplines : traction power, depot upgrades, SC&C and asset management).
