About the role

We are seeking a skilled Pump Engineer who is comfortable in the workshop, on customer sites, and providing technical support and sales advice. The role involves servicing and repairing pumps, assisting customers with diagnosing faults, offering solutions to process problems, and identifying new sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in positive displacement and centrifugal pumps, processing equipment, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Training on pump technology, servicing, selection, and sales will be provided. Direct contact with key pump manufacturers is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform workshop and on-site servicing, maintenance, and repair of industrial pumps, including centrifugal and positive displacement pumps (hygienic bias).
  • Conduct on-site visits to diagnose pump-related issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding pump operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance best practices.
  • Document all service activities, inspections, repairs, and recommendations accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and product developments related to pumping systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Requirements

  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in servicing and repairing industrial pumps/rotating equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of pump systems, including pump types, components, and operation principles.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing pump-related issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with customers and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
