Pump Field Service Engineer

Overview

This role requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent fault-finding skills, and the ability to work independently and professionally with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out PPM visits and remedial/repair works
  • Full mechanical and electrical installations (pipework, valves, pumps, controls)
  • Commissioning of new systems
  • Attending reactive and breakdown maintenance
  • Loading/unloading plant and equipment at head office and on site
  • Scheduled call-out rota duties
  • Managing parts and spares in company van
  • Adhering to company and client site health and safety procedures
  • Attending occasional engineers\' meetings

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a service or maintenance engineer/technician, ideally with pump systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for fault finding
  • Multi-skilled in both mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Full and valid driving licence (essential)
  • Flexibility to work occasional nights away and participate in call-out rota
  • Professional communication skills with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
