About Gr4vy

Gr4vy (pronounced Gravy) is a "no-code" cloud payments orchestration platform. Gr4vy’s mission is to become the platform-of-choice by which all retailers deploy payment infrastructure around the world. Founded by former PayPal fintech leaders, Gr4vy aims to disrupt the $4 trillion global retail payment space by removing the complexity of merchants running their own payment infrastructure. The company has raised $27.2M in funding and is expanding its engineering team.

You’ll be joining at an exciting time to build with a growing team and influence product strategy from the ground up. Our platform uses Python and FastAPI, with React and TypeScript for the frontend. We employ unit, integration, and acceptance tests to guide design and maintain quality.

Role & Responsibilities

• You have influence over complex projects which may require coordination and collaboration with colleagues outside of your immediate team.
• You communicate effectively with your team to discuss problems and solutions.
• You work with the product manager to ensure scope enables delivering value early and often.
• You own support tasks to ensure operational stability and resolve incidents proactively.
• You help define and implement monitoring and alerting.
• You set and improve standards across engineering.
• You mentor junior team members to help them grow.
• You model the company values within the team.

Requirements

• Strong experience writing Python, preferably with the FastAPI framework.
• Experience with Starlette, asyncio, SQLAlchemy, pytest is beneficial.
• Experience writing high-value tests and understanding software design principles.

Compensation: Competitive salary in USD + equity + benefits. Location: Anywhere in Europe — Remote working.
