Overview

Python Software Engineer with key skills in python, MySQL and a passion for AI and automation technology is sought on a fully remote basis by a market leading financial services organisation based near Manchester.

With recent investment this Python Software Engineer will work closely with the lead Engineer on new platform functionality aimed at creating AI and automation middleware to help drive business efficiencies whilst improving usability for the end user.

This role would suit a mid level software engineer with experience working within the financial services space who relishes using the latest technology to build innovative solutions that quickly solve business problems with the ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the lead Engineer to design and implement new platform functionality that enables AI and automation middleware to improve business efficiency and user usability.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and contribute to greenfield development initiatives.
• Work in a fast-paced financial services/FinTech environment, delivering high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Python development experience
• Framework experience – Flask, Django, FastAPI, etc.
• Solid MySQL skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced financial services/FinTech environment
• Azure cloud exposure would be useful
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience integrating automation / AI / ML solutions into existing platforms is a real plus
