The role is restricted to those physically located in Europe. While this is a remote position, we cannot consider candidates outside this region. Preference will be given to candidates based in Portugal, Spain, or Malta.
The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, fast-learning, and dynamic quality assurance engineer to help us build our quality assurance process within the software development lifecycle of our products. The ideal candidate has experience working with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure that new features and product launches meet our quality standards and functional expectations.
You’ll be the quality advocate within your team, promoting a quality mindset and test pyramid principles. You will support product releases with manual user acceptance, regression, and exploratory testing, and contribute to establishing and increasing automated test coverage for frontend, mobile, and API.

- Design, develop, and execute test automation scripts.
- Conduct automated user acceptance, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs efficiently, collaborating with engineering teams for resolution.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and structured test plans and cases tailored for automation.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., developers, product managers) to understand and document system requirements for automated testing.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Pave the way for an automated testing process in the development lifecycle.
- Track quality assurance metrics.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies.

- A significant reduction in bugs and production issues identified by end users.
- QA and QA automation are integrated into the software development lifecycle.
- The test pyramid is adopted by the team, with increasing automated test coverage.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Quality Engineering, focusing on test automation.
- Team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with QA methodologies, tools, and processes, especially in automation.
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive automated test plans and cases.
- Hands-on experience with various automated testing tools.
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript and Playwright.
- Some knowledge of TestRail, LambdaTest.
- Knowledge of SQL and scripting for testing purposes.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, CI/CD pipelines, and GitLab.
