As a Quality Assurance Engineer in the missile manufacturing team, you'll be at the heart of ensuring every product meets the most demanding standards of precision, safety, and reliability. This is your chance to work on cutting-edge defence technology, solve complex problems, and safeguard quality at every stage of production.

You will provide independent visibility and assurance that manufacturing and related processes are applied across all projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support and advise on all aspects of quality within UK Manufacturing.
  2. Identify and implement sustainable improvements to existing methods and processes.
  3. Identify and reduce project risks or issues related to process application, effectiveness, or compliance.
  4. Support manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. Develop and deliver quality awareness and training programs.
  6. Assist programmes in achieving cost, time, and quality targets.
  7. Improve the effectiveness of processes within the Business Management System, ensuring they are tailored for Manufacturing UK.
  8. Conduct independent assessments and audits, report findings, and facilitate improvements.
  9. Maintain strong links with Quality Assurance colleagues across the business to achieve quality objectives.
  10. Work with Quality Assurance Managers to define risk reduction strategies and action plans.
  11. Support Non-Conformance Review Panels and analyze defect data for root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Skillset/Experience:

This role is initially a six-month contract, likely to be extended. Please note that this position is subject to security and export control restrictions. Applicants must have resided in the UK for the last five years and be able to obtain full security clearance.
