We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Quality Engineer / Junior / Graduate Level to join our client's team in Exeter. This is an exciting opportunity for a junior or graduate engineer with some hands-on experience who is eager to develop their career in quality management, product compliance, and engineering excellence.
You will be joining a company that designs, tests, and manufactures innovative products used in some of the most challenging environments around the world. This role provides excellent exposure to quality processes, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities of Quality Engineer (Junior / Graduate Level):
Assist in internal audits to support compliance and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with engineers, production, and other teams to identify and implement quality improvements.
Support efforts to ensure products meet global regulatory requirements.
Help investigate and manage customer returns (RMAs) and supplier non-conformances.
Participate in hands-on product testing, including verification and validation during development and production.
Assist with maintaining the Workshop and Test Facilities, including scheduling tests and applying 5S practices.
Key Requirements of Quality Engineer (Junior / Graduate Level):
Degree or HNC Level 4 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
Understanding of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems (or willingness to learn).
Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience with PPAP or product compliance standards is advantageous but not essential.
