Quality Engineer – Steering Location: Woking (Onsite) Contract: Initial Contract – 3 months IR35 Status: Inside IR35
This is a great opportunity for a Quality Engineer – Steering to support high-end automotive production by applying advanced quality analysis techniques within a fast-paced engineering environment. You will play a key role in driving manufacturing excellence through data-driven insights, structured problem-solving, and collaborative process improvement.
The successful candidate will focus on quality data analysis and engineering support, rather than traditional inspection or quality control tasks. This position offers the chance to work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to enhance build processes and ensure that vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer – Steering:
Analyse production quality issues using methodologies such as 4M, PPS, Fishbone, and 8D to identify root causes and define corrective actions. Coach general assembly (GA) operators to build vehicles to exacting quality standards and support improvements to build processes. Lead and support lean manufacturing activities focused on reducing waste, scrap, and rework.
