Syntech Recruitment are supporting a precision engineering manufacturer near Abingdon in their search for a skilled Quality Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities: Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters.
Support manufacturing by identifying and reporting quality shortfalls.
Train operators in inspection techniques and equipment use.
Manage measurement and test equipment calibration systems.
Produce inspection reports, trend analyses, and quality documentation packs.
Lead non-conformance and customer complaint investigations using 8D/5Why methodologies.
Conduct internal and supplier audits, driving process improvements.
Translate customer quality requirements into detailed manufacturing instructions.
Create Quality Control Plans and LTQRS for specific customer projects.
Quality Engineer Profile: At least 5 years’ experience in a Quality Engineering or similar technical role.
A Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent technical background.
Strong understanding of inspection techniques and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
Experience with non-conformance management, calibration systems, and audits.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence in training others.
Knowledge of CMMs (PC-DMIS) is a distinct advantage but not essential.
