As a result of this major framework win, we are now seeking a

Quality Engineer

to join us a member of the team, responsible for supporting the delivery of an exemplar quality culture across all projects delivered under this framework, as part of our 17-year civils and concrete structures framework for the PPP on Sellafield. It is anticipated that this role will be based in Knutsford/Warrington for approximately 18 months, then the role will be on site in Sellafield.

The Quality Engineer role

Help support the business through any regulatory change to ensure that we remain compliant

Provide competent knowledge, skills and advice in order to generate and promote quality control in all activities across the project; acting as a subject matter expert on all quality control related issues

Provide a ‘Hands-on Approach' when required to assist projects maintain technical records and improve competence Support and regularly liaise with the site teams, key internal and external stakeholders and other subject matter experts to regularly provide technical input into the Quality Management System; ensuring continuous improvement as per the plan, do check, act approach

Accurately assist in reporting organisational performance for Sellafield

Help to support awareness and educational programmes which build knowledge, competency (technical, regulatory, and behavioural) and expertise at all levels within SRM

Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, supporting the delivery of quality standards/plans and ultimately providing a defect free end product

and learning from experience.

Essential Skills and Experience

:

Experience of working in a construction environment

familiarity

with construction roles and trades

Relevant CSCS card

The ability to identify key issues, evaluate data, and draw informed conclusions

Strong written and verbal communication and negotiating skills

Effective time and workload management

High level computer literacy

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Educated to Diploma or degree level in a quality or engineering related discipline

ISO9001 trained Auditor (Registered Lead Auditor preferred, IRCA recognised)

Membership of a relevant quality professional body (e.g. CQI/IRCA)

Experience of quality management within complex project delivery

Experience of writing formal quality management documents and undertaking audits
